Tammy King, MA, CCC-SLP
Owner & Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders and completed her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has over 30 years of experience working with children in a variety of preschool and school settings, as well as in their homes and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and her NC license. Tammy is experienced in evaluating and treating a variety of speech and language delays including articulation, phonological processes, language, fluency, social language and executive functioning. Her special interest is early intervention ~ she loves the exuberance of the preschooler and involvement of parents and caregivers. Tammy is a native of Florida, but has lived all of her adult life in the Charlotte, NC area. When not working, she enjoys reading, boating, renovating, decorating, traveling, and lots of family time!
Laurie Will, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Laurie received an Academic Award from the Department of Speech Pathology while at the University of Tennessee. She has provided speech therapy services to children and adults in the Home Health setting. Laurie has worked in the public and private school settings serving children from PreK - Middle school. She is licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina and holds her Certificate of Clincal Compentence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In October 2020, Laurie recieved the ASHA Award for Continuing Education. Laurie grew up in North Carolina and enjoys traveling with her husband, Dave; running and hiking.
Stephanie Stallings, MSP, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She completed her Master's degree in Speech Pathology at the University of South Carolina. Stephanie has practiced speech pathology for over 20 years and has experience serving children from PreK - 12th grade, as well as adults with various developmental disabilities. She has experience evaluating and treating communication disorders in many areas including language, articulation, phonological processing, apraxia, fluency, augmentative communication, and pragmatic language disorders. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. Stephanie is a native North Carolinian, and when not at work, enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her sons in sports activities, reading, walking, traveling to the NC Crystal Coast and volunteering.
Teri Boutilier, MS, CCC-SLP

is a native of Charleston, SC but now lives in Waxhaw, NC with her husband and 2 daughters. She attended Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Audiology and Speech Pathology. She has worked in the private sector as well as the public school system, serving children from PreK - 8th grade. Teri has experience evaluating and treating communication disorders in many areas including language, articulation, apraxia, phonological processing, fluency, and pragmatic language disorders. When not at work, she enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and cheering on the Seminoles.
Megan Dillon, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders. She completed her Master's degree in Communication Disorders at University of Texas at Dallas. Megan has previous clinical experience in school systems, early intervention programs and private clinical settings. She has experience evaluating and treating communication disorders in preschool and school-age children in many areas including, language, articulation, phonological processing, oral-motor, voice, fluency, and pragmatic language disorders. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. Megan is a native of Mt. Vernon, IL, has lived in various places, and now calls Charlotte, NC home with her husband and three kids. When not at work, she enjoys watching her kid’s various activities, spending time with friends and familiy, traveling and enjoying outdoor activites.
Diana Husemann, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Audiology at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Diana has extensive experience working with children from infancy to high school in a variety of settings including United Cerebral Palsy, Head Start, Public and Private Schools, as well as Home-based Early Intervention Programs. She has provided clinical services in many areas of communication, but her areas of interest are: language development, speech sound disorders, and social communication disorders/autism. In her early career, Diana co-authored articles and presented workshops on: Service Delivery Models and Communication Assessment in the School Environment. Diana has worked with multi-disciplinary teams and firmly believes that a team approach, including parents as the primary member, is necessary for maximum success. Diana is originally from Ohio, but has provided speech services in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. She currently resides in South Carolina. In her spare time, Diana enjoys traveling, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and serving her church and the Billy Graham Library.
Kelly Steen, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language and Hearing Science. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology at Emerson College in Boston, MA. Kelly has worked with children in a variety of settings including Early Intervention, pediatric private practice, preschools, daycare centers, Head Start classrooms, and home based programs including collaboration with public school systems in multiple states. Additionally, Kelly served as a clinical research coordinator for various Autism research studies at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team interacting directly with families. Kelly’s areas of interest include early language development, speech sound disorders, early literacy, and fluency. As a pediatric therapist, she believes in the importance of collaboration and making connections with children and their families. Kelly enjoys spending time with her family, running, working out, skiing, and rooting for the Red Sox.
Kerry Richman-Connors, MS, CCC-SLP

graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Teaching of the Speech and Hearing Handicap and a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. Kerry has over 25 years experience treating pediatric clients with speech-language related disorders in a private practice as well as many private and public schools serving children from birth through high school. She enjoys treating children of all ages. Her special interests are articulation, phonological awareness, speech motor disorders (Childhood Apraxia of Speech), early language development, language disorders, and auditory processing. When Kerry is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
Chandale Kelly, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Virginia Tech. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University. She has previous clinical experience in the school systems where she provided assessment and treatment for students ranging from preschool through middle school. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed to practice in North Carolina. In 2020, she also earned an ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) for completing 7.0 CEUs within a 36 month period. Chandale enjoys spending time with family, reading, organizing, and ongoing learning through personal and professional development.
Katie Underwood, MA, CCC-SLP

is originally from Pittsburgh, PA but has lived in Charlotte for over 16 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, both from Ohio University. Katie has previous clinical experience in school systems. She has provided assessment, treatment, and in-class services for preschool, elementary and middle school aged children with various needs including articulation, auditory processing, language skills, and autism. In her spare time, Katie enjoys baking, reading, and watching Liverpool soccer and Pittsburgh sports with her husband and two boys.
Karla Morelli, SLP.D. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
is a bilingual (Spanish) speech-language pathologist, holding a clinical Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology. With over 20 years of practice experience, Karla has worked with swallowing disorders, while she completed her doctoral research. Working in various private and public-school districts, in Michigan, Georgia, Texas, California, and North Carolina, has allowed Karla to understand the importance of using strong and evidenced based interventions with all students. Karla specializes in the areas of bilingualism, selective mutism, literacy, and mental health disorders. In 2009, Karla received the ASHA Diversity Champions Award for her involvement in advocating with school administrators for appropriate services to all students, regardless of language background. In her free time, Karla enjoys sewing, baking, and collecting art.
Bethany Kent, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
is originally from Davenport, Iowa but has lived in the southeast for most of her adult life. She graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Kansas. Bethany has served children of all ages while working in early intervention, private practice, public schools, private schools, preschools, daycares, and on a multidisciplinary evaluation team. She has developed and led a school based preschool drive-in speech program and created a language based curriculum designed to serve preschoolers with speech and language delays. She has experience evaluating and treating a variety of communication disorders but has a special interest and expertise in speech sound disorders. When she is not working, Bethany makes a mean avocado toast and enjoys all things Enneagram, podcasts, cardio dance and all forms of exercise, good discussions with friends, dog walks with her daughters, and trying new recipes.
Amy Lukacs, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology & Audiology. She completed her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Michigan State University. Amy has clinical experience in a variety of health care and school settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, long term acute care and skilled nursing facilities, as well as preschools and elementary schools. Amy has experience treating both children and adults in the areas of voice, dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, and neurocognitive disorders. She is VitalStim certified. Amy is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota but now lives in Waxhaw, NC with her husband and boy/girl twins. Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her dog, swimming, yoga, reading, traveling and watching her kids play sports.
Regan Kesting, M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated with a Bachelors of Health Sciences from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and went on to get her Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology at New York Medical College. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from ASHA, and has a wide variety of experience working with both children and adults. While she completed a medical based speech and language graduate program, she found her way into the school system in 2017. Regan has an exceptional amount of experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as utilizing Alternative and Augmentative Communication devices (AAC). When not at work, she loves traveling both the United States and countries around the world. Regan lived in Phoenix, AZ for 7 years where she explored the great outdoors (i.e. hiking, biking, adventures) before making her way back east to be closer to home.
Chelsea Jones, MS, CCC-SLP

is a speech therapist with a Master’s degree in Communication Science Disorders. I’m from a small town outside of Pittsburgh, PA and have worked in many different states as a speech therapist. With over eight years of experience in the public school system, I specialize in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and with those using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Since the onset of COVID-19, I have adapted to provide both in-person and teletherapy services, ensuring that all my students receive the support they need to thrive. I am passionate about creating a supportive and engaging environment for my students, helping them develop essential communication skills. My approach is rooted in collaboration, working closely with families and teachers to tailor interventions that meet each child's unique needs. I believe in celebrating every small victory and focusing on the strengths of my students while addressing their challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling. I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve and empowering them to communicate confidently.”
Staci Pennybaker, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from the University of Pittsburgh first with a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders and then Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Staci is a board certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and has over 10 years of experience in various pediatric settings, including public and private school, early intervention and private practice. Staci has experience in working with a variety of diagnoses and needs, and finds joy in supporting each client individually. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!) until she relocated to the beach and then Charlotte, where she met her husband and planted roots. Staci now lives in Matthews, NC with her husband, two children, and dogs, and she enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading, traveling, and discovering new coffee shops!
Daniela Barraza, MS, CCC-SLP

is a bilingual (Spanish) speech-language pathologist who graduated from Kean University in Union, New Jersey with a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She completed her Master's degree in Communication Disorders at Stockton University. Daniela has previous experience in the school setting having completed speech/language evaluations as well as treatment for a variety of areas including articulation, receptive/expressive/pragmatic language, fluency, and autism. Daniela is a native of Philadelphia, PA, has lived in a few other states, and the country of Colombia. In her spare time, Daniela enjoys taking her daughter out to explore, reading, and watching rom-coms.
Cardon Tucker
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle!) with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She completed her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology at the University of Tennessee. Cardon has worked in public school systems as well as early intervention programs, serving children from preschool
through 12th grade. Speech sound disorders, language disorders, literacy, and phonological awareness are her areas of interest. She especially enjoys being a speech-language pathologist because it provides opportunities to build relationships ~ with children, families, and other professionals. She is an Alabama
native, but has lived and practiced in multiple states throughout the United States. When she is not working, Cardon enjoys gardening, thrifting, eating Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, and watching college football with her husband and 2 boys.
Deidra Wright
Speech-Language Pathologist
was born and raised in the vibrant streets of New York City. Deidra recently made the exciting move to Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Connecticut in 2013. Deidra then earned her Master's degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Adelphi University in 2019. Throughout her career, Deidra has dedicated herself to gain experience across various populations and diagnoses. Her journey has allowed her to work with individuals with cerebral palsy, Autism, feeding and swallowing disorders, apraxia, Downs syndrome, and expressive and receptive language delays. Deidra has also gained valuable experience working with different types of AAC devices and communication aids. While she enjoys working with all population, her passion lies in supporting the birth-to-five age group. She firmly believes in the philosophy of 'play with purpose' - using engaging, playful methods to help young clients achieve their therapy goals.
Keira Kuhar, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
graduated in 2021 from Misericordia University with her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. As a recent graduate, she has clinical experience in school-based and medical settings. While working in the schools, Keira completed assessments and treatment for children Kindergarten age through 5th grade. She is excited to expand her knowledge and skills working with the pediatric population. Keira’s areas of interest include fluency, language, and articulation. She is a Pennsylvania native and looks forward to exploring North Carolina with her dog Lucy! Keira enjoys going to concerts, spending quality time with her friends and family, and traveling.
Desi Wilson, M.S. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from UNC-Charlotte and began her career as a special education teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in 2007, focusing on teaching children with autism in a self-contained classroom at Davidson Elementary. After becoming more aware of the critical role communication plays in every child's daily life, she later pursued a Master's degree from East Carolina University in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Shortly after, she began working as a Speech Language Pathologist with Chatterbox Speech Therapy. Desi has a passion for helping children with special needs find their voice and has experience working with children of all ages across various settings. She sees each child as a treasure and incorporates positive and energetic practices into her therapy sessions. Her special interest areas are autism, early language development, literacy based interventions, articulation, phonemic awareness, augmentative communication, inclusion practices, pragmatic language and language processing. Desi and her husband have three boys of their own, and when not cheering them on at a sports game, she loves to do yoga, travel and be of service in her community.
